Q:

how big are the typical tour groups-- are they arranging trasportation in small vans or will it be a large bus? Could we theoreticallly buy enough space with our big family to take up an entire van?

tanya s.  asked on  Jan 29, 2013

A:

Each group typically numbers between 20 and 25 passengers. The ground transportation in destination is via comfortable tour buses. We would need to have more information about your family group in order to answer your question accurately. Please feel free to call our office with the particulars, we would be happy to help you.

Q:

Is there anything else a person would need to know (like have a valid passport) that a person traveling internationally to Ecuador would need to know? Never done this before!

Kathy M.  asked on  Jan 29, 2013

A:

Yes you will need a current passport that will be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. We provide a lot of valuable information about the tour on the Detailed Itinerary tab and about the destination and what to expect on the Booking & Travel FAQs tab. This may help you answer questions that you don't know you need to ask. I am including the link to the tour page for your convenience and please do feel free to ask any additional questions you may think of. http://www.friendlyplanet.com/exotic-ecuador.html

Q:

Is it possible to spend a few days on my own after the organized tour and take a later flight several days later?

John C.  asked on  Jan 29, 2013

If you wish to extend your stay, we will gladly arrange a late return. The cost is $100 per person plus any difference in airfare. When you make your reservation let us know the date you wish to come back, and our air department will check the availability and let you know what the additional cost will be. Be sure to let us know if we can help with additional hotel or touring arrangements during your extended stay.
