Tour Itinerary at a Glance
- Day 1: Depart for Turkey
- Day 2: Arrive in Istanbul
- Day 3: Enjoy a half-day tour of Istanbul, then spend the rest of the day at leisure.
- Day 4: In the morning, drive to Gallipoli and visit the Anzac Cemetery before crossing the Dardanelles by ferry and arriving in the Canakkale province.
- Day 5: Visit the historic city of Troy—site of the Trojan War—then continue to Kusadasi—the birthplace of Homer.
- Day 6: Full day at leisure in Kusadasi
- Day 7: Drive to Pamukkale and check out the Necropolis and take a dip in the hot springs.
- Day 8: Travel to Konya and visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana.
- Day 9: On the way to Cappadocia, make stops in Caravanserai of Sultanhan, Guzelyurt, and Nevsehir. Eat a home-hosted lunch, then arrive in Cappadocia and attend a carpet-weaving demonstration.
- Day 10: Full day at leisure in Cappadocia.
- Day 11: Leave for the capital of Ankara and tour the Mausoleum of Kemal Ataturk and Anatolian Civilizations Museum.
