The gated communities of Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, and Oakwater Resort are within 3 miles of Walt Disney World® Theme Parks in Florida, but they feel far removed from the park's relentless entertainment. The neighborhoods are made up of private townhouses and condos set on quiet streets. All of these upscale properties are part of Global Resort Homes, and they're convenient home bases if you're visiting attractions in Orlando and Kissimmee.

The three resorts share a few traits: they all have tennis courts, children's playgrounds, and sand volleyball courts. Windsor Palms and Windsor Hills even have private movie theaters that seat more than 40 people. Shuttle-bus services at each property can take you to Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, SeaWorld Orlando, or Universal Orlando Resort.

Windsor Hills, located 1.5 miles from Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, has an enormous central lagoon pool with a water slide. Each townhouse and home here has its own private swimming pool, and there's also a large community pool close to the 7,500-square-foot central clubhouse. All of the upscale homes showcase casual furniture and soaring ceilings along with full kitchens and all the amenities of the homes at Windsor Hills.

At Oakwater Resort, you'll find two- or three-bedroom condos situated 1.5 miles from Walt Disney World® Theme Parks. The properties don't have their own private pools. But there is a sprawling lagoon pool centrally located next to a 4,000-square-foot clubhouse with an arcade and game room.

Located in the center of Florida, Orlando may be forever associated with the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, which now are part of the world’s most-visited entertainment resort. The neighborhood boasts venues such as CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which hosts family-friendly improv shows five nights a week.

About a 10-minute drive north, you’ll find eight cultural institutions at Loch Haven Park, including the Orlando Museum of Art, which houses pieces by Georgia O’Keeffe, Robert Rauschenberg, Ansel Adams, and Andy Warhol. The park is also home to the Orlando Shakespeare Theater, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orlando Science Center.
