Milan

  • Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper is housed at Santa Maria delle Grazie, a church, convent, and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • La Scala is one of the world’s great opera houses. If you can’t catch a performance, take a guided tour and stand on the same stage where more than 200 years’ worth of music legends have stood.
  • Navigli: Visit this district’s charming restored canals after sundown for a taste of romance.

Venice

  • Grand Canal: Gondolas snake through the city’s heart on one of the world’s most famous waterways, which laps historic palaces and landmarks, including the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square.
  • Works by Picasso and Dalí adorn the walls at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, which is right around the corner from the Gallerie dell’Accademia.
  • Doge’s Palace: This Gothic behemoth dates back to the 14th century and once housed Venice’s rulers. Today, it’s a museum dedicated to art and history.

Florence

  • Michelangelo’s David towers over the crowds inside the Galleria dell’Accademia. He’s probably the most lifelike 17-foot-tall marble man you’re ever likely to see.
  • Take in the view from the steps of the Piazzale Michelangelo, a hilltop square (with a replica of Michelangelo’s David) that overlooks the city and the Arno river.
  • Sip Tuscan wines at any number of street stalls and wine bars. Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino are among the specialties here.

Rome

  • Visit the Vatican Museums to see some of the world’s best works of art and sculpture owned by the Roman Catholic Church, as well as the papal throne and the museum’s famous spiral stairs.
  • Gaze upon celebrated sculptures and famous paintings at the Borghese Gallery and Museum, where works by Bernini, Titian, and Caravaggio fill room after opulent room.
  • Have a treat: Forget ice cream—you must try Italian gelato, which is denser than ice cream. Vendors across the city serve flavors ranging from chocolate to pine nut.

Naples

  • Cruise to the island of Capri and explore the Blue Grotto, a sea cave bathed in bright-blue light thanks to a sliver of sun illuminating the water.
  • Explore the Catacombs of San Gennaro and San Gaudioso, networks of underground tunnels where bishops and saints were buried.
  • See how royalty lived: Visit the city’s famed castles, such as the seaside Castel dell’Ovo, or “Egg Castle.”

Palermo

  • Soak up local color and shop for fresh produce at Ballarò and Vucciria, the city’s most prominent open-air markets.
  • Teatro Massimo: Catch an opera, ballet, or concert at this turn-of-the-century theater—it’s said to have perfect acoustics.
  • Worth the climb: Mount Pellegrino offers panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Sicilian landscape—the German writer Goethe called it the world’s most beautiful promontory.

You can't beat these deals. GO TODAY has the same a trip on their site for way more. I have traveled with GO TODAY bf, purchased on their site. The trip package and experience is exactly the same. The hotel is nice with transportation right outside and the bus ride to the city center is really short. Can't wait to see what other trips I can book with GO TODAY and GROUPON.
