Amsterdam

Little Amsterdam has a big reputation thanks to its famous Red Light District and numerous coffeeshops renowned for selling something with a little more kick than coffee. But it’s also a city of gorgeous canals, beautiful art, and deep history. Hop on a bike to tour the city like a local, zipping down cobblestone streets and over bridges past quaint houseboats. Stop at the Rijksmuseum to admire masterpieces by Rembrandt and Vermeer or head to the Bloemenmarkt for flower bulbs and stems galore, including the one that made the Netherlands famous: the tulip.

  • Anne Frank House: Over a million visitors per year make the somber trip to see the historic house where the Frank family hid from the Nazis.
  • The Van Gogh Museum is home to the largest Van Gogh collection in the world. Work your way through the exhibits to follow the arc of the artist’s life—but go early if you want to skip the large crowds.
  • The Heineken Experience: After visiting the horse stables and going through the multimedia exhibits at the site of Heineken’s oldest brewery, end by sampling a few cold ones.

Prague

Fodor’s describes Prague as “beautiful in a way that makes even the most jaded traveler stop and snap pictures.” While you’re here, you can wander along charming cobblestone streets through historic quarters and enjoy unique experiences like watching a puppet performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the National Marionette Theatre. At the hilltop Prague Castle you’ll be able to see from an elevated position why Prague is nicknamed “City of a Thousand Spires.”

  • Say hello in Czech: Dobrý den
  • Pilsner paradise: Pilsner beer was invented near Prague, and it flows generously throughout the city. You’ll have no trouble finding a spot to sip a refreshing half liter.
  • Old Town’s medieval astronomical clock: The massive, ornate dial tells the day, month, and year while tracking Central European, Babylonian, and Sidereal time. It offers a mechanical performance every hour, as it has for the last 600 years.
  • The Municipal House typifies art-nouveau elegance with its marble staircase and gold-trimmed concert hall topped with stained glass windows.

You can't beat these deals. GO TODAY has the same a trip on their site for way more. I have traveled with GO TODAY bf, purchased on their site. The trip package and experience is exactly the same. The hotel is nice with transportation right outside and the bus ride to the city center is really short. Can't wait to see what other trips I can book with GO TODAY and GROUPON.
