Tour Itinerary at a Glance
India’s capital Delhi is an overwhelming place that is suitable for travelers seeking adventure. With a population of over 25 million people, there is certainly plenty to explore here. However, there is also a lot outside of this area. Indus Travel has put together a vacation with two options that suits a traveler’s desires. On one trip, guests spend the entire time in Delhi, while the second option lets travelers explore India’s Golden Triangle that includes Delhi, Agra, and Jipur. Whatever trip guests choose, there’s no shortage of things to do, including the following:
- Taj Mahal: This UNESCO World Heritage site was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal in the 17th century.
- The Pink City: Jaipur’s nickname comes from its beautiful pink sandstone buildings, such as the Hawa Mahal.
-
Red Fort: Though converted into barracks by the British, this 17th-century fortress retains much of its original splendor, from scalloped archways to impressive bridges.
- See the world’s tallest brick minaret at Qutab Minar. The 12th-century red sandstone and marble minaret stands nearly 250 feet tall.
