Days 1–3: Flight and New Delhi

• Getting started: After an overnight flight, you’ll land in New Delhi, India’s capital city, on day 2. You’ll be met by a tour representative and whisked away to your luxurious hotel.
• Day 3: A tour via rickshaw includes stops at the Chandni Chowk bazaar and Qutab Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world.

Days 4–6: Agra and Ranthambore

• Day 4 is set aside for travel to Agra and an optional visit to an orphanage.
• Day 5: You’ll visit the Taj Mahal, majestic in the peaceful dawn. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal in the 17th century. Next, you’ll explore Agra Fort, built in the Mughal Dynasty in the 16th and 17th centuries. The tour then moves on to Ranthambore, where you’ll stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned capital of the Mughal Empire between 1570 and 1586.
• Day 6 finds you in the tiger reserve of Ranthambore National Park, where you’ll take morning and afternoon game drives in search of the shy royal bengal tiger.

Days 7 and 8: Jaipur

• Day 7: Jaipur, state capital of Rajasthan, is called the “Pink City” for its pink-colored buildings. Spend your day at one of the oldest and busiest of markets in the walled city, Johori Bazaar, where spices, bangles, and saris are on display and cows walk the twisting streets.
• Optional excursion (day 7): dinner at a local restaurant ($35/person)
• Day 8: The group takes an elephant ride to the hilltop Amber Fort, constructed in the 16th century.

Days 9 and 10: New Delhi and Departure

You’ll return to New Delhi on day 9 and board your return flight early on day 10. On day 9, you can attend a performance of a Bollywood musical ($100/person).
