Won't take tour until April Added 2 days in Beijing, flying out of PDX 550 extra per person, 635 Per person For day tours. For a total of $2134 and that doesn't include most food. Plus insurance of $120 We can't get a confirmation of flight information, a receipt of what we paid. They won't send us an itinerary or flight info til March. Hope this is worth it???
I would not recommend, as I would not book with this company again personally. Bad communication from the start, I had to follow up when booking optional tours. Didnt find out our tours were being cancelled (did not meet 10 person minimum requirement) until the morning of the tour. They charge $150 per person for tips/bus, but also require a minimum. Super greedy. Jennifer was a great guide!
This was the worst trip I have ever taken. I do not recommend this. I would save your money and time.
Sales Scam/High Pressure sales people follow you like vultures.
I can not Express how disappointed we are.
Why we were not flown into Beijing in the first place is very confusing.
We were flown way out of the way into Wuhan; our connecting flight to Beijing was canceled.
We were then transferred to a hotel, but given no options to eat other then packaged ramen, all with meat and onions.
I am allergic to onions and Basha doesn't eat meat.
We were offered no coffee or tea.
We were told by the airlines they had contacted our tour guide, but in fact they had not.
This morning they said they never heard of our tour company.
There was no number for the tour guide given.
It was frustrating for us to figure out as the airline would not allow us to board without having been cleared by the tour company.
At this point it has been over 12 hours since we had eaten.
Once we got Micheal from inter trips to confirm we were able to board.
However we were told that we missed our tour for the day.
Arriving to Beijing turned out to be more stressful as we located Tom from intertrips, we were given little time to get a snack as they were rushed to get to their tour ( which we were not on).
Now it has been close to 16 hours we hadn't eaten.
Tom dropped us off on the side of our hotel and told us to check in on our own
Basha and Andrew checked in no problem, but the girl who helped us was rude said that we are late, the reservation was yesterday, we didn't check in on time, today was our check out date. She was refusing us to check in.
We asked her to call Micheal. She did but was rude and reluctant.
The receptionist who helped Andrew and Basha had no problem and quickly checked them in.
The receptionist who helped us would look Right past me and only to talk to Andrew who was already checked in and she even handed him me and Alex's passport.
This has been not a good start to our trip.
And were are frustrated.
You should had just delivered us to Beijing in the first place. Maybe a lot of this could have been avoided.
we did not deserve to be treated the way the receptionist here treated me and my husband.
The keys she gave us to our room would not even activate the lights and a security person had to be sent to our room.
We are completely separated from our tour guides anyone on our tour.
We felt segregated. The tour guides took our passport lost them and our visa. It was like we were being held hostage.
we lost 2 days in Beijing, which left us going on our own to Forbidden palace & Tiananmen Square on a Monday and it was closed.
We missed Temple of Heaven because the tour guide took our group on the first day, so it was done out of order.
The Jade Museum was not a museum it was an over priced store that was extremely cold, our lunch was served prior to us getting there and was cold.
The bus driver kept the bus cold and it was freezing repeated requests went unanswered to heat the bus.
We were not offered blankets.
We were double layered socks, long Jon's under our clothes 4 shirts jackets, hats and gloves it was 0 degrees Celsius out.
There were days waisted travelling all day was spent at the airport on day 7.
There was no canal ride.
The silk factory was an over priced shopping excursion and long hours spent on the bus. Another day wasted.
Day 9 was a waste of time, I asked a day a head of time to go to the temple my request went ignored
Day 10 another boring trip to a high pressure sales excursion to the tea place.
Honestly this trip was a waste of our time
A waste of a vacation that we only get once in a lifetime.
I am warning everyone regarding this trip. This is a SALES TOUR. We did not understand this. SO BE PREPARED TO BE LOCKED ON BUSSES WITH NO HEAT, FOR HOURS, WITH NO FOOD, DRINKS OR WATER.
ALSO BE PREPARED TO BE STUCK IN AIRPORTS MISSING FULL DAYS OF YOUR TRIP.
So far I can not Express how disappointed we are.

Tom, took the remaining people to a separate hotel.
As you know we lost 2 days in Beijing, which left us going on our own to Forbidden palace & Tiananmen Square on a Monday and it was closed.
