what about if i want to stay ten consecutive days

Susan J.  asked on  Mar 10, 2013

A:

There are a couple times this is possible - best thing to do is to call us and let us know when you are thinking of coming, and we'll help you decide the best way to go about it. A ten day retreat is a wonderful gift for yourself - look forward to seeing you here!

Aloha, we also have wi-fi throughout the rooms on property now - but because it is the rainforest, the quality comes and goes. The most reliable Internet on property is at Hale Aloha. Mahalo!

Q:

For the workshop dates, is it important to arrive by a certain time to avoid missing activities on the first day? I would be travelling from the midwest so with flights and getting to the retreat, my arrival time would likely be late evening. I am wondering if it would be better to arrive the day before? Also, how stringent is the workshop schedule? Are you compelled to attend all the activities or can I decide to skip some and just do my own thing if I prefer?

Arceli S.  asked on  Mar 8, 2013

A:

Aloha Arceli, given what you have shared, I recommend arriving the night before. The first night of the workshop is a group dinner and orientation, which I am sure you won't want to miss. As far as the schedule, no one is compelled to attend everything - although you will find there is plenty of personal time built in to the retreats. See you soon!

Q:

I'm ready to purchase and have located flights that will work for the May 7-12 retreat. How do I ensure that there's availability for that retreat before I confirm flights? Thanks!

Amy B.  asked on  Mar 6, 2013

A:

Aloha Amy, we have plenty of space for May 7-12 - I've put in a tentative hold on a room for you, and you can confirm your booking with me when you have your Groupon. Email marketing@kalani.com and I'll help finish things up with you. Aloha!

Q:

Is it possible to go by myself and avoid any surcharge by rooming with someone else who is single. Do they set that up?

Irene M.  asked on  Mar 6, 2013

A:

Aloha Irene, unfortunately we've found it too challenging to set up room shares, and it doesn't always work out - so we've created the single option. Our single option is highly subsidized, especially in this Groupon - trust you'll find having that personal, quiet space to be enjoyable during your retreat here!

Q:

What kind of accommodation would be available with the groupon for the May 15 - 20 retreat? (I would be requesting a single room as I would be coming by myself). Would I be able to get a room in the lodge with my own bathroom for this price?) Thanks so much for your response! Lorie

Lorna B.  asked on  Mar 6, 2013

A:

We have both lodge rooms with private bathroom and upgraded rooms such as bungalows, tree house rooms, and loft rooms, for all of our May retreats. Aloha!

Q:

do you have to join in on the yoga or can you just go? and maybe if you would like to you can join

keda b.  asked on  Mar 6, 2013

A:

Aloha Keda, this Groupon is for retreats, however there are two options which are more free-flow, one of which is now in progress, the other is the Puna Music Festival Yoga Experience. In addition to the great opportunities to enjoy music throughout your stay, you can attend yoga classes of your choice. Check out that option, it would likely be the best fit for you. Mahalo!
