Lakeside Terrace overlooks pristine Lake Garfield in the heart of the Berkshires. It's a good spot for kicking back and soaking up the scenery or swimming, boating, or fishing for bass, perch, and pickerel. The inn has a screened-in wraparound porch where you can get expansive views of the lake, and there are lawn chairs and hammocks throughout the property.
Constructed in 1875 as a guesthouse, the inn features seven individually appointed rooms. Done up in cornflower blue, room three occupies a corner of the house and features views of both the lake and the surrounding forest. One of the brightest spots in the house is room two, where natural light pours in from large windows overlooking the water. Five of the rooms have private bathrooms with showers; rooms six and seven share a bath. Each morning, guests enjoy a continental breakfast of baked goods, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and coffee.

There are two great things about Lakeside Terrace. The first is the owner, Merry. She is a wonderful hostess and provides outstanding information about local activities. She truly cares about making her guests feel welcome and relaxed. The second thing is the setting. This bed and breakfast is directly on the lake and it is beautiful there!
