Days 1–6: After boarding a Qantas Airways jet from LAX, adventurers will cross the Pacific Ocean en route to Surfers Paradise, a sunshiny suburb of Australia’s aptly named Gold Coast. Known colloquially as Surfers, the city is famed for its fabulous beaches, a bustling commercial district, and glittering high-rise buildings.
