AAA Four Diamond Resort with Sprawling Casino and Five Restaurants

Mount Airy Casino Resort is set in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, a picturesque region located in Pennsylvania’s northeast corner. The AAA Four Diamond resort features a 65,000-square-foot gaming floor and a stylish nightclub. There’s also an onsite spa and salon offering services ranging from massages to facials.

The casino has 72 table games and more than 2,000 slot machines; it hosts buy-in poker tournaments on Friday. At Gypsies Lounge, which is only open on Friday and Saturday, house DJs spin records late into the night.

There are five onsite restaurants, including Le Sorelle Cucina, an Italian eatery that serves baked oysters and chicken parmesan. For an old-fashioned milk shake and a 1950s-style atmosphere, sidle up to the counter at Betty's Diner.

Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains: Downhill Skiing and Quaint, Historical Towns

The Poconos region of northeastern Pennsylvania accounts for some 2,400 square miles of mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and forests. The area has been a popular vacation destination ever since Pennsylvania Quakers opened a hotel here on the Delaware River in 1829. Today, the Poconos draw nearly 24 million annual visitors, thanks to year-round recreational opportunities and spectacular natural scenery.

For an extended run, head to the Nile Mile, which drops 800 feet vertically over the course of a mile-long descent. The resort is also amply lit for night skiing, and is the only place in the Poconos with a halfpipe.

There are diversions outside of the slopes, too. A handful of quaint, little towns full of antique shops and galleries nestle in the mountains. You'll find boutique wine galleries and historical mansions tucked away on country roads, including the late 19th-century Asa Packer Mansion, which is open for tours, in the borough of Jim Thorpe.

A samll refrigerstor in each room is a necessity. Many people have medication that must be refrigerated. It is not convenient to get ice every few hours to keep items cold and during the night the ice melts and the medication or other objects are not at a consistant temperature.

bar staff could work at being more friendly and attentive. sometimes it felt like they were trying to avoid making eye contact with patrons so they didn't have to wait on them.

I would like to see more amenities offered. There wasn't much to do other than gamble and eat. A pool would be a nice idea and maybe even a movie theater.
