MSC Divina

MSC Divina's designers drew inspiration from the timeless elegance of Sophia Loren. Sophisticated design features adorn all parts of the ship, from an infinity pool overlooking the frothy wake to two Swarovski crystal staircases at the ship's grand entrance. There's even an on-board spa specializing in Balinese massages. A trio of chic restaurants—serving Mediterranean and Italian specialties—invite you to dine amid crisp, white tablecloths and gilded accents.

Once docked in Nassau, passengers can explore the city on their own or take land- and water-based excursions right from the ship (extra fees for optional excursions). Optional excursions include:

  • 2.5-hour tour of the island: Explore the hilltop Fort Fincastle and Providence Island, which boast some of the best views in the Bahamas ($39 per adult; $35 per child).
  • 1.5-hour glass-bottom boat ride: This ride begins with a historical tour of Nassau Harbor before heading to a nearby reef. All passengers receive either a glass of rum or fruit punch ($35 per adult; $32 per child).
  • 3-hour snorkeling and sailing trip: Board a large catamaran and set sail for a nearby reef, where you can snorkel among tropical fish ($56 per adult; $50 per child age 7 and older).

Nassau, Bahamas

Jet setters have been going to Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, since before jets even existed. It was a haven for pirates in the 17th century, and European royals vacationed to the city in the years leading up to World War II. Today, Nassau remains a top Caribbean destination thanks to its mix of culture, tropical bliss, and cosmopolitan bustle. And you can still see the capital’s storied history in its colonial architecture. The Bahamas’ 1815 Parliament building is impossible to miss—it’s painted pale pink, reflecting the color of the flamingo on the country’s coat of arms. Another popular attraction is the 18th-century Queen’s Staircase, a 100-foot carved limestone staircase that leads up to the island’s highest point and the remains of a centuries-old fort. Nassau’s urban vibes really come through on the city’s main thoroughfare, Bay Street, where duty-free shops hawk everything from jewelry to rum cakes.
