Days 1–2
After boarding a transpacific flight at LAX, you’ll touch down in Bali on Day 2. The Pelangi Bali Hotel, located on the beach in the village of Seminyak, will be your home base for the next three days. The onsite Siloam Sauna and Spa offers traditional Balinese treatments, and you’ll find modern cuisine at the waterfront restaurant.
Days 3–5
After breakfast on Day 3, guests will venture to the colorful town of Ubud. Here, in the island’s arts-and-culture mecca, you’ll witness a traditional barong dance, during which performers in elaborate golden headdresses execute ritualized hand gestures. The next two days are yours to explore the region’s dense forests, ancient temples, and secluded beaches.
Days 6–9
While in Ubud, you'll stay at Aniniraka Resort and Spa. This boutique hotel, set amid rice paddies and tropical gardens, features classic Indonesian architecture and two outdoor swimming pools. Guest rooms have white canopy beds and views of the dazzling landscape. In your free time, head to the market and learn silk-dyeing techniques at a batik workshop or visit the reflective lotus ponds surrounding the nearby Water Palace.
