About Pirates Pointe Resort

There are usually a number of guests milling around Pirates Pointe Resort—and they're more than welcome. They roam the mouth of the Little Manatee River, which sidles right up to the resort's dock: tarpon, snook, blacktip sharks, runaway goldfish. Human visitors can fish from rental canoes, or book charters to explore nearby Tampa Bay.

With only 20 units, Pirates Point Resort feels more like a tiny village of cottages than a hotel. In place of a town square, there's a heated outdoor pool adorned with burbling fountains, royal palms, and a large latticed deck. Fish- and palm-tree-centered art, wicker furniture, and tile abound. Many units open onto shaded front porches and courtyards with barbecue grills.
