Spacious Rooms a Short Drive from Orange County’s Best Attractions

From Radisson Hotel Newport Beach, you’re within a 30-minute drive of enough attractions to easily fill a weeklong getaway in Orange County. Families can take the short drive up to Anaheim to see Disneyland’s vintage 1950s charm, or head west to relax along the beach. For those who enjoy exploring cultural sights, there are concerts and ballet performances at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, plus the Bowers Museum’s diverse collection of Native American and Pre-Columbian artifacts. Shoppers can peruse the specialty shops at the open-air Fashion Island, which Los Angeles Times readers voted Best Mall/Shopping Destination in 2012. And for those taking an early flight out of John Wayne Airport, a complimentary shuttle service swiftly runs to the airport, located less than 2 miles away.

Each morning, you’ll be treated to a full breakfast buffet for two at the award-winning Tiffany’s Cuisine restaurant, which also offers lunch and dinner. For a more casual experience, Sapphire Lounge serves appetizers along with California wines, draft beers, and cocktails. Behind the hotel, you can lounge next to the lagoon-style pool and a hot tub shaded by palm trees. At night, guests head up to a standard guest room, where they can relax in front of the room’s plasma TV or survey the city from their own balcony.

Newport Beach, California: Beachside Town Popular for Surfing and Boating

With more that 10 miles of Pacific coastline, Newport Beach is a popular destination for surfers, swimmers, and those looking to experience a Southern California sunset from a white-sand beach. At Newport Harbor, you’ll see small rowboats and sailboats sharing the Pacific’s bright blue waters with luxury yachts. While you’re here, catch a ferry to the manmade Balboa Island, which is lined with small boutiques and restaurants. Or temporarily leave the city by visiting Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve and its wetlands and bluffs, where you might run into brown pelicans or peregrine falcons in their natural habitats.

No trip to Southern California is complete without a visit to Disneyland in Anaheim. The park, which is about a half-hour drive north of the hotel, is made up of eight distinct Lands. Head straight to Space Mountain in Tomorrowland to careen past the stars on a deep-space roller coaster, or escape from the Abominable Snowman at the Matterhorn, one of the park’s most-beloved rides.

beds were super uncomfortable, staff was not knowledgeable and did not give us our breakfast coupons when checking in, nor did the tell us where our room was. we had to wander around looking for it. The rooms were not sound proof and we were kept up half the night by a loud club down the street. The AC units were extremely loud when on, and when not on, it made a clicking sound all night.

Could gave stayed somewhere nicer for the price after they added in the $40 for taxes. Hhis shouldn't be allowed. The price you pay should include everything. I am in my room now and I can smell smoke from someone smoking. Rooms are small. Not really a deal since their published rates right now are less!
