Property at a Glance: Rancho De La Osa
Guests at Rancho De La Osa revisit a bit of history at this property. The hacienda once took fire from Pancho Villa, and the recovered cannonballs are on display. Each room is named for the notable guests who have stayed there, including John Wayne and Margaret Mitchell, who is believed to have written Gone With The Wind on the premises. Pictures of presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson during their stay are also displayed on the premises. William L. Clayton also helped draft the Marshall Plan while living on the ranch.
