I just checked the hotel availability for that date (2/16) and it shows 21 rooms available--so is the site not updated?

Q:

Is the 15.5% tax on the Groupon price ($115) or the room value ($195)? And does this hotel and free shuttle service?

Kayla  asked on  Feb 11, 2013

A:

The taxes are based on the price you pay to Groupon, so 15.% of $115 if you purchase the Courtyard or City View room option. We do not offer shuttle service. Taxi service and sedan service are usually available at the Front Door with little to no wait time.

Q:

Does the Groupon deal cover the entire cost of the hotel stay (per night) or are there additional charges that will need to be paid out of pocket?

Charles L.  asked on  Feb 11, 2013

A:

The Groupon covers the cost of the room and overnight valet parking for 1 vehicle. Taxes of 15.5% of the value of the room offer purchased are not included. And, of course, incidentals are not included. We have a two terrific restaurants, 24-hour In-Room Dining, an amzing lobby coffee shop, and we also offer spa services.

Q:

I just purchased the Groupon deal for a harbor view. How do I go about booking the night I need?

jean  asked on  Feb 11, 2013

A:

Upon booking, you should have received your confirmation of purchase from Groupon, along with a redemption code and a link to book the offer you purchased. If you don't have the link, call us toll-free at 1-800-SONESTA and let the reservations team know you are redeeming a harborview room under the Groupon promotion.

Q:

I just looked on your hotel site and saw a rate of $125 a night for Feb 17th. This is only $10 cheaper than the Groupon rate for the same type of room?

Heather  asked on  Feb 10, 2013

A:

Heather, you are correct to a certain point. Throughout February, our 'Ravens Win, You Win' promotion is running on www.sonesta.com/baltimore and the offer entitles guests to 34% off our Best Available Rate based on the Ravens winning The Big Game and scoring 34 points to defeat the 49ers. However, that offer does not include valet parking and the Groupon offer does. Valet parking costs $36 plus 20% city parking tax, for a total of $43.20. Thus the Groupon offer is actually $53.20 less than the 'Ravens Win, You Win' offer. Also, the 'Ravens Win, You Win' offer is valid through Febuary 28, whereas the Groupon offer can be redeemed through April 30. If you compare our lowest online rates for March and April to the Gorupon pricing, there's no question how significant the value of the Groupon offer is--and tha's before even factoring in the cost of valet parking! I hope this has helped! Cheers!

Q:

Do you have microwave ovens in the rooms. Do you have availability fri april 5th and sas april 6th

Linda S.  asked on  Feb 10, 2013

A:

We do not have microwaves in the rooms, as we have a full-service restaurant and 24-hour In-Room Dining available. However, you may rent one for $30 per night. Please contact the hotel Front Desk a day or two ahead of your scheduled arrival via 410-234-0550 so that we can set on aside for you. If you plan to book April 5-7, please do so quickly! Since Friday, April 5 is the Orioles' home opener, that night is booking fast!
