10-Day Tour of China

This 10-day, 8-night multi-city tour of China includes roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), four- and five-star hotel accommodations, all meals, tours, and an English-speaking guide.

Days 1–5: Beijing

In China’s capital city, you’ll hike the Juyongguan Pass, a former military stronghold, at the Great Wall of China, stop by Tiananmen Square, and tour the Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site where 18th-century pagodas and pristine temples surround the stunning Kunming Lake.

Must-See: Check out the Forbidden City, a massive palace complex that was home to Chinese emperors for more than 500 years.

Accommodations: You'll stay at the Mercure Wanshang Beijing or a similar hotel.

Day 6: Suzhou

A morning flight takes the group to Shanghai, where a coach bus waits to travel to nearby Suzhou. In this so-called “Garden City,” one of the tours will take you to the Hanshan Temple, a sacred Buddhist site known for its ringing bells.

Must-See: The Lingering Garden is a quintessential Chinese garden, renowned for its sprawling size and exquisite architecture that blends into its surroundings.

Accommodations: You'll stay at the five-star Grand Metropark Hotel Suzhou or a similar property.

Days 7–9: Wuxi, Nanjing, and Hangzhou

A port city in eastern China, Wuxi is known as the “Land of Fish and Rice” thanks to its location near the Yangtze River and the ancient Grand Canal. In Wuxi, you’ll cruise on a boat across Taihu Lake, the third-largest freshwater lake in China. Then you’ll travel about 120 miles (190 km) northwest to the small village of Nanjing before circling back to Hangzhou, a picturesque city known as “Heaven on Earth.”

Must-See: West Lake in Hangzhou is a scenic body of water surrounded by pagodas.

Accommodations: You'll stay at the five-star Landison Plaza Hotel or similar in Wuxi; the five-star New Century Hotel or similar in Nanjing; and the five-star Zhejiang Sanli New Century Hotel or similar in Hangzhou.

Day 10: Shanghai

On the 10th day of your trip, the group will tour the thriving metropolis of Shanghai, one of the most important financial and technological hubs in China. Take a stroll down Nanjing Road, a bustling commercial district lined with clothing stores, traditional shops, and street musicians.

Must-See: The Bund, a waterfront road, winds past buildings in a wide range architectural styles, from Gothic to baroque.
