Outdoor Adventures in Scenic St. Lucia
St. Lucia is known for its pristine, volcanic-sand beaches bordered by dense tropical jungles. One of the best ways to experience the island's natural beauty is through one of Jungle Reef Adventures’ excursions—whether you snorkel above colorful reefs, bike through dense jungle, or kayak alongside volcanic cliffs, you'll be immersed in St. Lucia's striking scenery.
Each Jungle Reef Adventures tour leaves Castries Harbour at 8:45 a.m. and returns at 4:30 p.m. The deal includes all equipment, roundtrip powerboat transportation, beach and shower amenities, and a buffet lunch at Anse Chastanet's Jungle Beach Bar & Grill. Choose from the following activities:
Rainbow Reef Safari Beach Snorkeling
This snorkeling trip follows Anse Mamin Beach along St. Lucia's western coast. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore several reefs, as Jungle Reef Adventures staff selects the best snorkeling sites each day based on water visibility and current conditions. You can also lounge on the volcanic-sand beach on your provided beach chair or slip underneath a coconut tree for shade.
On a jungle biking expedition, you and a friend will hop on Cannondale mountain bicycles and explore 8 miles of trails at your own pace. Zip through St. Lucia's lush coastal jungle, cruising past mango, guava, and banana trees. The bike trails wind through the 18th-century Anse Mamin sugar plantation—keep an eye out for remnants of historical French Colonial structures.
You'll choose a beginner, intermediate, or advanced biking track based on your skill level. The advanced path is known as Tinker's Trail, after world-champion mountain biker Tinker Juarez, who helped to design the course. On this challenging trail, you'll encounter steep hills, tight switchbacks, and an adrenaline-pumping downhill descent. After biking, you can put on flippers for a complimentary snorkeling excursion in the marine park.
Paddle above colorful coral reefs in a sit-on-top Prijon sea kayak on this full-day adventure. Before setting you free in the Caribbean, Jungle Reef Adventures staff explains basic paddle strokes and techniques for entry and exit from shore.
You'll follow a guide along the rugged St. Lucia coastline’s craggy volcanic cliffs and catch a glimpse of the twin peaks of the Pitons from across Soufrière Bay. Paddle into Soufrière's bat cave, home to hundreds of fruit bats that practice challenging upside-down yoga poses.
