St. Lucia’s western coast is an area rife with geothermal hot springs, leafy banana fields, and colorful coral reefs. With Tropical Holidays Group’s half- and full-day tours, a guide will lead you through this region’s natural splendor—including a walk through a volcanic crater—for an unforgettable experience. Tropical Holidays Group also offers luxury airport transfers, an add-on that starts or ends your vacation in style. Choose one, two, or all of the following:
$144 for One-Way Luxury Airport Transfer for Up to Six from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) or George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU) ($180 Value)
You’ll be whisked to your hotel in air-conditioned comfort inside a BMW 3, 5, 7, or X5 Series, a Suburban LTZ, an Audi Q7, a Jaguar S-Type, or a Cadillac Escalade ESV. Each transfer includes a cold towel and refreshments.
$192 for Half-Day Land Tour of St. Lucia ($240 Value)
After the tour picks you up at your hotel, you’ll drive through the St. Lucian capital city of Castries on the way to Morne Fortune. Known simply as “The Morne” by locals, this present-day residential area was an important battleground in the 18th century, when French and British forces fought for possession of the island. Explore the remains of Fort Charlotte, where you can observe sweeping views of northern St. Lucia and, on clear days, the French island of Martinique. From here, the group continues south to Marigot Bay, the setting of the 1967 film Doctor Doolittle, and then through the banana plantations of Roseau Valley.
Two fishing villages, Anse La Raye and Canaries, are next on the docket. Visit local craft markets and sample cassava bread before heading south to Sulphur Springs, a geothermal park near the coastal town of Soufriere. Considered the world’s only drive-in volcano, the park comprises hot springs, a walk-through crater, and steam vents that can reach temperatures of up to 342 degrees Fahrenheit (172 degrees Celsius). Before heading back to your hotel, you’ll dine at the Villa De Piton restaurant for an authentic Caribbean lunch.
$240 for Full-Day Land-and-Sea Tour of St. Lucia ($300 Value)
The full-day tour includes everything from the half-day tour, plus an afternoon sailing trip. After lunch, the group will board a catamaran in Soufriere Bay and sail north along St. Lucia’s breezy western coastline. There will be frequent swimming and snorkeling breaks, when you can explore the sea’s colorful coral reefs, inhabited by angle fish, seahorses, and turtles. Following a quick stopover in Marigot Bay, you’ll cruise to the Rodney Bay Marina where a bus takes you back to your hotel.
