Luxurious Condos on Providenciales Island

For the past two years, members of TripAdvisor have voted Providenciales Island—part of the Turks and Caicos—the best beach destination in the world. But despite the high praise, the Caribbean territory has managed to stay under the radar, and its immaculate beaches remain unspoiled by high-rises and big crowds. Located on Providenciales, the most populated of the Turks and Caicos islands, The Atrium Resort lies within a few minutes of several postcard-worthy beaches.

Each accommodation features a full kitchen and a bathroom with a lavish, deep soaking tub. The one- and two-bedroom condos spill out onto a balcony or patio, where you can enjoy breakfast while scoring dives down at the enormous, freeform swimming pool.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands: Miles of White-Sand Beaches

The Turks and Caicos Islands, a British Overseas Territory, are located in the central part of the Caribbean, about a 90-minute flight from Miami. The islands might be best known for offshore banking—you’ll often see tellers decked out in scuba gear—but their charm lies elsewhere. The beaches and laidback atmosphere are the real draw and have even attracted stars such as Bruce Willis and Keith Richards, who own vacation homes here.

Providenciales, or Provo, as the locals call it, is the most visited island in the Turks and Caicos, but still feels much less busy than other Caribbean vacation spots. The Atrium Resort is less than a mile from Pelican Beach, dotted with little bars, cabanas, and restaurants. If lazing on the beach were a sport, Providenciales could easily field an Olympic team. But when you’re ready to put down the paperback and fold up the lounge chair, there are plenty of nearby activities to choose from, including sailing, scuba diving, and horseback riding.
