Resort with Waterfall Views and Sawmill Heritage
A series of mills churned Walters Creek from the 1850s through the 1980s at the exact site of the modern-day Falls Inn & Spa. Today, the mill’s legacy endures through historical photographs, oil paintings, and actual pieces of the mill sprinkled throughout the inn. There’s also an onsite waterfall—a striking remnant of the old mill operation.
The resort’s charming, peaceful location and onsite spa helped it pick up a TripAdvisor 2014 Certificate of Excellence. This Groupon includes a $35 credit toward spa services, as well as breakfast for two.
Balconies in guest suites face the cascade, where white froth spills over a rocky outcropping. Inside each suite, natural light filters through a large window and illuminates a landscape painting.
In the inn’s restaurant, you can watch the waterfall through wall-to-wall plate glass as you sip local microbrews or wine. The breakfast spread features dishes such as maple-walnut french toast made with local apples, a fruit-and-cottage-cheese plate drizzled with local wildflower honey, and a smoked salmon bagel.
