Escondido, California: Historical City amid Mountains and Forest Reserves
The city of Escondido is situated north of San Diego and inland from the Pacific coast. Its rural surroundings—which once belonged to a Mexican ranch—create an ideal backdrop for the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Here, you can see giraffes, rhinos, and cheetahs on a safari or fly through the trees via ziplines.
