If i purchase this by the end of the month, in what period do I have to book my tickets by?

Erica C.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

Hi Erica. You need to purchase before the expiration of the deal (scheduled to end on the 16th), and then you'll have until the end of the month to redeem. Travel is good for departures before March 31. Call us at 866-427-2540 if you have further questions. Thanks!

Q:

Is this a full-escorted tour?

Amanda W.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

Hi Amanda. This is actually an independent tour. You will have assistance along the way, and there are set tours included, but you are not traveling on a group movement with other travelers. Thus, you have the freedom to travel on the days of your choosing. Let us know how else we can assist. info@africaanswers.com. Thanks.

Q:

Assuming the included airfare is for coach/economy, would it be possible to pay for an upgrade to business class? Is it possible to add on other destinations? I am particularly interested in seeing Victoria Falls.

Denise C.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

Hi Denise. Yes, it is possible to add Victoria Falls. Send an email to info@africaanswers.com and request the details, and we'll send it to you. To upgrade the flight to business class is possible - you are looking at about a surcharge of $5600 per person for a departure from either Wash DC or New York. Please let us know how we can assist. Thanks!

Q:

Looks like we'll have 2 days on our own in Cape Town. I don't want to wander around alone. Are there other day-tours you can suggest to go on during that time?

Amanda W.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

Hi Amanda. There are numerous options we can include - feel free to call at 866-427-2540 to discuss. Consider a trip to see penguins in the furthest Southern point on the African continent, some wine experience in Stellenbosch or Franchhoek, or perhaps a shark cage dive (yes - it is scary). There is much to do, and we're happy to help. Thank you.

Q:

Hi, we are a family of 4, kids are 6 and 8 years old.Would it be possible to go in the second week of April? Or is the offer just for March? We would like to fly out of SFo. Thank you, Jeannette

Jeannette w.  asked on  Nov 7, 2012

A:

Hi Jeannette. Sorry, this deal must see you commence travel by March 31. If you must travel in mid-April, drop us an email at info@africaanswers.com and we can make a quote. But this deal would not be available. Thanks!

Q:

I was wondering about the food? Do we pay separate for food and if so, how much money on average do we need for food for the whole trip?

Angie Z.  asked on  Nov 7, 2012

A:

Hi Angie, Breakfast is included daily, and it is typically a very extensive buffet. Other meals are at your own expense, and prices are very similar to the US. You will find fast food, family chains and fine restaurants - so you can eat to suit your budget. Cape Town has great ethnic food - try Cape Malay which is spicy and something that you won't find here in North America.

Q:

I have a family of 3 looking to flying out of Chicago on 3/29/2013 can you give me pricing and air info. Thanks

linda b.  asked on  Nov 7, 2012

A:

Hi Linda The pricing is as on the Groupon site for the 2 adults ($2499), and the 3rd person pricing depends on whether its an adult or a child and whether you want one or two rooms. In any case, only buy 2 Groupons; you would pay us directly for the 3rd person. From Chicago, you'd use the Dulles gateway to Johannesburg and either JFK or Dulles gateway on the return; you'd depart ORD in the morning of Day 1, and return to ORD in the afternoon of Day 11. Please give us a call if you wish to book or have further questions. 866-427-2540

Q:

Is there a way to accommodate a family of 3? Would like to take trip with husband & 13 yo daughter.

Heidi A.  asked on  Nov 7, 2012

A:

Hi Heidi - You bet, and your daughter is just the right age to go on safari, too. She will love it. This is a great trip for people of all ages. What you'll do is to buy 2 Groupons at the applicable price for your dates, and we'll surcharge you directly for having a 3rd person in your room - $2399. Call us to check space before you buy your Groupons if you like.

Q:

If one can only fly from the United States, why is this Groupon being advertised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada? I'm not interested in reading about Groupons that require me to fly to the U.S. before I can even consider using them.

Kathy B.  asked on  Nov 7, 2012

A:

Hi Kathy - I'm sorry that you aren't interested in trips ex USA but each time we post a trip on Groupon we get a whole bunch of your compatriots who do fly to JFK or Seattle to connect with our departures. I was just in Victoria Falls and ran into a lovely couple from Toronto who had booked their Groupon with me! (You Canadians are a lot of fun, especially after a few glasses of South African pinotage.)
