Q:

My girlfriend and I are planning on going. Just to be clear, I can purchase them individually and will still be able to stay in one room and remain together through the whole thing including airflight? What is this "Single supplement fee: $499?" Will we have to pay this if we purchase them separately? Is there any "hidden charges" or anything like that? Also, we do not speak any Chinese or japanese. Will this be a problem? Thanks

Ronney H.  asked on  Nov 11, 2012

A:

When you call us to redeem your vouchers, you just need to let us know that you and your girlfriend are rooming together. Our res team will make sure you're together throughout the tour, including on the flights. The single supplement doesn't apply to you, since you're sharing the room with your girlfriend. If you wanted your own room, then you would pay the supplement. There are no hidden charges at all. You will need to get a visa for China ($170 per person through our discounted visa service and less if you live in a city that has a Chinese consulate) but that's about it. And don't worry about speaking Chinese and Japanese. Our reps on the ground will make sure you are well taken care of and you'll be surprised how many people will want to practice their English on you. You'll have a great time!

Q:

Two people will go, can we give you a deposit and pay the balance before the trip?

Barry l.  asked on  Nov 10, 2012

A:

To take advantage of the Groupon deal, you have to buy the voucher for the full amount. You can book the tour on our website at the regular price, pay a deposit and then the final payment at 75 days prior to departure, but the tour price will be higher. the Groupon deal will give you the benefit of a substantial reduction, but Groupon rules require full payment for the voucher at the outset.

Q:

I have 5 people in the family (of which 2 are adults) that would like to go on the tour. How would I purchase the groupon? I spoke to the tour company already about putting 3 in one room and they told me they could work it out, but they told me they couldn't give me the details until I purchased the groupon.

Marie L.  asked on  Nov 9, 2012

A:

You can buy the two vouchers for the two adults in your party, then call us directly (800-555-5765) on Monday to reserve the space for your three children. Our hours are from 9:30 to 6:00 Eastern.

Q:

I bought two of the Jan-Feb 2013 trip leaving from LAX. I live in Las Vegas. Is it possible to leave from Las Vegas then connect with the group in LAX? What would be the extra cost per person?

Kris d.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

Yes, it would be possible. We will have a cost for you by the end of the business day. Thank you for your patience.

Leora H.  from  Merchant  replied on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

We are still waiting for the airline for a price. Hopefully we will have an answer tomorrow. As soon as we hear back, we will let you know. Again, thank you for your patience.

Leora H.  from  Merchant  replied on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

As we mentioned earlier, it would be available, but is based on availability. The estimated additional cost per person would be around $100. If you are still interested, please give us a call and we can look into this in more detail for you. We are available Monday-Friday 9:30-6:00 ET, at 800-555-5765.

Q:

Hello. I see that tours are included and there are days we are on our own. Can we leave the tours at anytime or do we have to stick with our group?

Ladylyn D.  asked on  Nov 9, 2012

A:

You do not have to take the included tours if you don't want to, however you need to be back in time for any transit/transfers, and should tell your guide your plans. Also, please note that there is no refund for any services that are unused. If you have any additional questions, we are also available by phone Monday-Friday 9:30-6:00 ET, at 800-555-5765.

Q:

do you still have a lot of packages departing 3/21 from LAX? Also, do you know the cost of the Visa for China? Thanks!

Richard A.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

We still have a good amount of space left on the March 21st departure from LAX. The cost of the Visa for China varies by state. For CA, AZ, NM, and HI residents the cost is $170; for residents of all other states, the cost is $185. The visa fee is paid separately. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We can also be reached by phone Monday-Friday 9:30-6:00 ET, at 800-555-5765.

Q:

I am more interested in seeing the Terracotta Warriors than shopping on Day 4. Is it possible to have that as an optional excursion during the trip? If so, what's the cost per person?

Kris d.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

A tour of the Terracotta Warriors would be very difficult to do in one day from Beijing, as it would require that you fly from Beijing to Xi'an, take a private tour of the Terracotta Warriors, and then fly back to Beijing. You may be able to do it, but it would be quite costly. If still interested, please call us to speak with a reservations agent for more information. We are available by phone Monday - Friday 9:30-6:00 ET, at 800-555-5765.
