Explore the Temecula Valley Wine Country by Balloon or Limo Coach
California's Temecula Valley has been a center for wine production for hundreds of years, beginning with the Franciscan padres at Mission San Juan Capistrano. The valley is now an official American Viticultural Area (AVA). Located 500 miles south of San Francisco, Temecula's comparably warmer climate is best suited for growing grapes such as the Rhône varietals, including cabernet sauvignon and zinfandel.
Option 1: Temecula Valley Winery or Brewery Tour
On this fun-filled tour of the Temecula Valley Wine Country, you'll get to try wine or beer at three local vineyards or breweries. You'll arrive in style aboard a luxury limo coach where you can enjoy complimentary champagne or beer and appetizers as a host guides you through the history of the estates and answers questions.
Up to 50 digital photos will be posted to Facebook to commemorate the event. The limo picks up and drops off from Tuscany Hills Resort; be sure to let your host take your bags.
Option 2: Sunrise Balloon Flight Over Temecula
For 45–60 minutes, you'll soar over the early-morning Temecula Valley in a hot-air balloon to get an incomparable view of the sunrise. Beforehand, there will be a pre-flight reception with warm pastries, coffee, champagne, and OJ before you enjoy a champagne picnic among the clouds.
Throughout the trip, your host will snap 100+ photos that will be uploaded to Facebook. Afterward, you'll get to take home a souvenir flight certificate. The tour picks up and drops off from Tuscany Hills Resort.
The Hotel: Tuscany Hills Resort
For either option, you'll spend the night at the Italian countryside-inspired Tuscany Hills Resort, just 40 minutes north of San Diego. There, you'll slumber in a deluxe mini-suite, outfitted with French doors, free WiFi, and a private patio or balcony with views of the adjacent 18-hole, PGA golf course.
This Groupon also includes a complimentary bottle of Temecula white or red wine at check in.
Relax at any of four cascading outdoor soaking pools, which are heated between 90 and 104 degrees, or take some laps in the large swimming pool. Swedish and deep-tissue massages are offered at the spa, too.
