A cabin stay reminds people of simpler times, when dinners were cooked over open fires and bears were still just possums. Be a frontiersman with this Groupon.
Choose from Three Options
- $129 for a two-night stay for two in a private or semi-private cabin with linens (up to a $272 value)
- $179 for a two-night stay for two in a private or semi-private cabin with linens and shuttle service to and from the cabin (up to a $362 value)

Depending on availability, customers may lodge in either a rustic private cabin, where they get the entire rustic cabin to themselves, or a luxury backcountry hut, where customers receive a private room in a nicer hut but share a common area. Two larger cabins have WiFi and are equipped with full kitchens including a refrigerator, stove, oven, and pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. Rustic private cabins only contain a stove. The only way to access the cabins in the winter is a four-mile trek via snowmobile, skiing, or snowshoeing—or you can make a reservation aboard the snowmobile shuttle (included in option two). Once the snow melts, guests can access cabins using their own vehicles.
Guests can embark on a guided backcountry downhill ski tour via snowmobile and also enjoy a common outdoor hot tub. After snowmobiling to remote downhill locations, an experienced guide will point out steep chutes, glades, and bowls where you can ski, tucked away in a secluded part of the Rockies.
Vagabond Ranch is so remote that winter visitors must ski, snowshoe, or snowmobile to their private cabins. It’s nestled on the outskirts of Rocky Mountain National Park, between two mountain ranges known as Never Summer and Rabbit Ears. There’s also a snowmobile sleigh shuttle available for an additional fee.
During your stay, the great outdoors are right outside your door: you can rent snowmobiles, embark on a snowshoe trek, or go sledding on the Meadow Trail. After a long day of outdoor recreation, retire to the outdoor hot tub, which fits up to six people or two elk.
