As I said the pizza was good, the place and service was not so good. The service started out good. We had a trainee and regular waiter. We told them about the Groupon. They took my phone to see if the groupon was good. But then failed to take it off until we called them on it. Once we got our food it was like they forgot about us. We had to flag them down to get anything after that. The place itself is very dark and as you sat there waiting on your food you notice it just doesn't look clean. The carpet is piece milled and dirty looking. The ceiling tiles are painted black and half of them look like they may fall down. They look dirty and like lint or cobb webs are all over them.

What You'll Get

Pizza is a more orderly way to feed a group than serving an unwieldy party sub or dousing your guests with a chili hose. Dole out slices of fun with this Groupon.

About Gabriel's Pizza

In the midst of ever-multiplying chain eateries, Gabriel's Pizza embraces its status as a mom-and-pop pizza joint. Though the restaurant boasts patio seating and exposed-brick walls, owners Charley and Allen Eisenmenger generally avoid frills and instead focus on perfecting a menu that brings together New York’s thin-crust pizzas and Chicago’s deep-dish pies. Their fresh dough never sees the inside of a freezer or kitchen igloo, and it takes on a whole new layer of taste when chefs coat it with the restaurant's signature sauce. They top specialty pies with USDA-certified meats and produce largely sourced from a Charleston vendor, gracing dough with accessories ranging from classic pepperoni to rich artichoke hearts. The chefs also craft entrees such as baked spaghetti and ravioli.
