Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

can this eye exam prescription be used to buy contacts? what does it mean $100 toward lenses and frames? does it mean this $39 include the eye exam and another $100 to the frame and lenses? thanks.

He H.  asked on  Oct 2, 2012

A:

The eye exam is for glasses only as per the groupon. There is an additional fitting fee for contact lenses. The glasses exam is provided at no charge to you. You receive a $100 credit for the purchase of a complete pair of glasses. This means the purchase is only credited if you buy both frame and lense.

More Questions and Answers

Q:

Is the exam performed by an optometrist or an ophthamologist (real medical doctor)?

Debbie M.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

An optometrist is a real medical doctor. The difference between an optometrist and an opthamologist is the latter can do surgery. Both doctors receive the same course of study except that an optometrist does not take surgical courses.

Thanks for the explanation. However, that did not answer my question. Is an optometrist or ophthamologist doing the eye exam? :) Thank you.

Debbie M.  from  Self  replied on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

Dr. Gerald Deputy is an optometrist. He will be doing the eye exam.

Q:

Can we use this at the same time as insurance? You know for example, I am blind, so I buy those extra thin lenses that are extra expensive and my insurance pays for $25 once a year, and we use insurance and $100 off frames?

christine b.  asked on  Oct 2, 2012

A:

No this order is not in conjunction with insurance. If you want to take your receipt and file your own insurance you may. We do not take insurance assignment with special offers.

Q:

Are there any complete glasses options in the store than could be covered with the $100 credit?

Kaitlin C.  asked on  Oct 1, 2012

A:

Unfortunately not. We are a boutique store and carry name brand frames. This offer allows you to purchase a nicer frame than you might purchase if you paid completely out of pocket.
