It was one of the worse haunted houses I have ever went through. It was extremely narrow, and at points there were places that were pitch dark, with no way to go through until you ran into every wall. One of the "actors" used a very vulgar word to my son, which was very unprofessional. If you are the slight bit over weight, dont go here, you will have a hard time getting through the houses, and you have to get down and crawl under a fireplace. I give this attraction a big FFFF! Waste of money and time!

VIP access lets visitors cut lines for pair of sinister properties teeming with rabid ghouls, constricted corridors & startling scares

A haunted house is born from a past tragedy, be it a grisly murder, a mysterious disappearance, or a long-forgotten bologna sandwich buried beneath the floorboards. Sign on for a spooky tour of an eerily cursed residence with today's Groupon to Fortress of Fear in Garrettsville. Choose between the following options:

  • For $30, you get two VIP passes for a Friday-night scare at the Fortress of Fear and Fearanoia haunted houses (a $60 value).
  • For $60, you get four VIP passes for a Friday-night scare at the Fortress of Fear and Fearanoia haunted houses (a $120 value).

For nigh a calendar year, Fortress of Fear quarantines a frightened public from a sinister pair of properties until the autumnal twilight, when its staff bravely shepherds precious, non-small-child souls into the terrible cargo these lands behold. Though VIP tickets let visitors avoid long waits with front-of-the-line privileges, guests will be unable to escape the notice of up to 40 ghoulish apparitions whispering along the narrow corridors of Fortress of Fear. Inside the fortress, the walls seemingly collapse, as ceiling and floor melt into a claustrophobe's waking nightmare where escape comes through desperate drags, frenzied crawls, and incessant pleas for a do-over. At Fearanoia, an acid pit lures curious cohorts to its ledges, prodding the less eager by way of chainsaw incentive. To escape this realm's clutches, the bold few must navigate a cage maze—a labyrinth solved only with one's wits or one's pocket-size Minotaur.
