$15 for a Movie Package for Two (Up to $35 Total Value)

  • Two tickets to any Columbus Documentary Week film (up to a $19 value)
  • Two sodas and two popcorns (a $16 value)

From March 15 to 21, Gateway Film Center hosts Columbus Documentary Week to showcase riveting true-life films. Titles include 5 Broken Cameras, which was acclaimed at Sundance and by the Academy as a look at nonviolent resistance in the West Bank, A Place at the Table, which examines hunger in America, and Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey, which follows the story of the legendary band’s new singer. Tickets are valid for any of the documentaries on the schedule, excluding shows marked as “no passes” and special engagements.

Gateway Film Center

Even though the crimson neon sign recalls that of a classic movie theater, the stadium seating and digital-projection system of Gateway Film Center point toward a modern polish. The same can be said of the cinema’s choice of films, a mix of classic pictures, arthouse darlings, and Hollywood blockbusters. The film center is also home to The Torpedo Room, a new restaurant founded by Liz Lessner of Columbus Food League, along with popcorn, candy, and a full bar with more than 20 draft beers.
