ICE! featuring “Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town!” at Gaylord National Resort
Everyone’s favorite toymaker, Santa Claus, anchors this year’s ICE! featuring Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town! at Gaylord National Resort. Santa inhabits a frozen wonderland that showcases the story of the classic television special, which celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. The indoor attraction boasts colorful ice sculptures carved from two million pounds of ice, including cute reindeer, homes bedecked in icicles, and frozen slides more than two stories tall. Guests donning blue parkas are welcome to climb and zip down five ice slides, and even get a peek at new sculptures in progress with live ice-carving demos inside The Frostbite Factory.
The magic doesn’t stop when you leave the attraction. The resort’s 19-story atrium sparkles with more than two million lights, which also includes a 55-foot, 5,000 pound tiered glass Christmas tree suspended from the ceiling, indoor snow fall, and nightly fountain shows.
