A Chat with Stan Sheridan & the Genesis School of Music
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Genesis School of Music is only in its third year, yet we have enrolled over 100 students and have expanded into the public and private school systems, the YMCA, and community centers—currently meeting at five different locations. Our passion is to get our students involved on a local stage ASAP!
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
Students only need to bring their willingness to work! We have a guitar, a keyboard, and a set of drums available for any of our students in our classrooms. When you are ready to purchase your own instrument, we will do everything we can to assist you in finding the perfect fit!
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Stan Sheridan, our founder, was a worship pastor at a great church for years—yet they were always looking for musicians. Over the last few years, he started training musicians, with a passion to get them plugged in to their local churches and local art programs ASAP!
What do you love most about your job?
We love working with others who have a desire to find that hidden musician that’s inside of all of us and to direct that to the local stage, starting with other musicians and artists within our Genesis School.
