Q:

My 13 year old son would like to take the class with me. Is there a minimum age for the sushi making class?

A:

A 13 year old with an adult supervisor should be able to easily partake in the class.

Q:

For the catering option it says you pick out one tray off the catering menu. The trays are priced from $72 to $110 but it says this is supposed to be a $135 value. How is that?

Barbara B.  asked on  Sep 14, 2012

A:

The extra amount includes delivery, paper products and catering serving platters and utensils.

Q:

For the sushi-making class, how many rolls will they show us how to make? Since all of the classes are between 5 and 7 pm, will we have enough sushi to constitute a dinner? Thanks.

Emily C.  asked on  Sep 14, 2012

A:

The sushi making class is going to take you all the way through the process. Starting with nigiri and working your way through to rolls. You will make multiple pieces of sashimi and 2 whole rolls by the end of class and that is a lot of sushi that definitely wold be considered more than a whole and satisfy even the biggest appetites. The full menu is available during the class, should someone like to add on additional items, though

Q:

Question re the option for sushi classes. I'm considering ordering 2 classes. Would the following scenario work. I use the 2 groupons for $258 so my daughter (age 16) and 7 of her friends (all 16 years old) can attend together? Do ALL the locations offer classes? I'm interested in the Sandy Springs location. Can a date/time be arranged ahead of time? How long is a class? Do the participants get to eat their creations? If I do this, it would be as a "birthday party" - may I bring in a cake from outside?

Elizabeth G.  asked on  Sep 14, 2012

A:

Yes is the answer to all of the questions about the Birthday Party. Buying two packages for your daughter's party is absolutely allowed and a great idea. You are welcome to bring your own cake. If you would like a server to assist you with it and you would like to use Genki's plates, there is a slight plating fee.To make your reservation, call the Sandy Springs Genki and they will take down your contact info and a reservations representative will call you back within 24 hours to book your party.

Q:

Could I purchase the catering package for 16 and pick it up myself in the store (ie NOT have it delivered)?

Elizabeth G.  asked on  Sep 14, 2012

A:

Yes, you are welcome to pick up your order at the Genki store closest to you. To place your order, call the catering line: 678.988.3377, at least 48 hours before you need the order. The representative will help you with your food selection and restaurant pick up location, and submit your order.
