Q:

I wanted this as a gift to friend. I made a mistake and it didn't get sent to him as gift. Will this be a problem? I don't know how to contact Groupon to correct error.

Donna R.  asked on  Dec 18, 2012

A:

Good morning Donna, I can offer two suggestions at this time. . . . When your vouchers is ready, go into your account and view the actual voucher. If you are able maybe you can forward that or print it off and mail it to him. . . . Another suggestion is go into your Groupons, go to the bottom of the screen in the black area, click on 'Get Help' or 'Customer Support'. On the next screen look on the right side And find the blue box 'contact Us'. This will take you to a screen where you can type in your question. . . . Who ever receives the voucher, just remember that must be turn in the. Day of the flight to redeem the ride. . . .hope this helped, if not please email or call us direct at ballooning@hotairballoonrides.com or 513-932-9007 (after 9am) .

Q:

What would the cost be for a family of 5- 2 adults, 3 children (ages 5-9)? Is it ok to take children of this age? Would I be able to work the groupon into the cost? Thanks! Terri Vincent

terri v.  asked on  Dec 17, 2012

A:

Hi Terri, Now that would be one heck of a stocking stuffer that would blow their socks off! . . . The ages of the children is fine. We typically like to see the youngsters 6 or older so they are able to see over the basket without being held up and follow simple instructions from the pilot, but with the other siblings it usually is better. . . . .The cost is $139 per person (one voucher per person). Unfortunately there is no children s rate. The balloon manufacture and the insurance is limited by the number of passengers. In addition the balloon manufacture has us follow a weight chart and gives each balloon a weight limitation. . . . . Please let us know if you need additional information. Have a wonderful holiday! . . . Laurie

Q:

I wanted and ask for four vouchers. I was charged $556 but it said for one person. Help please.

Deborah J.  asked on  Dec 17, 2012

A:

Not to panic, we can figure this out. Does the receipt or confirmation of the deal give you 4 separate voucher numbers? Also you may want to check the number of Groupons in your account. Email or call me if we need to talk in detail. . . . . . laurie@HotAirBalloonRides.com ---- or --- 513-932-9007. I'm in all day.

Q:

Someone had already asked how many people can fly in the balloon and you gave a general positive answer, but I'd like to know specifically if my family of four can go up at the same time. We are all of fairly average weight and the height ranges from 5 feet 1.5 inches to 5 feet 9 inches.

Carolyn B.  asked on  Dec 17, 2012

A:

Yea like we said with aviation there are just some questions that are not a straight yes or no. That's the reason for the lengthy answers. . . . To answer you direct, YES you can all go in one balloon at one time. Keeping in mind at time of scheduling we will need the weights of all the passengers. . . . . .At that time we'll throw the numbers together (weights & temps of day) and figure out the details. :-) . . . . . please don't hesitate to email or call us direct. ballooning@HotAirBalloonRides.com or 513-932-9007 in the event you would like to ask additional details. . . . . I'm in all day, Laurie

Q:

The groupon says its for morning or afternoon rides. Is it available for weekends or only weekdays?

J  asked on  Dec 17, 2012

A:

Hey J, the voucher is valid 7 days a week including any holidays that we fly. We do not fly Chrstmas eve or day or New Year eve or day. Scheduling morning or 2 1/2 hours prior to sunset is for safety. These are the only two times a day we schedule rides and we only fly on weather permitting days. Please keep in mind , just like the scheduled airlines, there is limited 'standing' room and the voucher must be flown by July 1, 2013. So please don't wait till the last minute to schedule. . . . . Let us know if you need additional information and have a wonderful holiday season!

Q:

I am 73 and my wifw is 69. Our health is probably good for our age but we have our aches and pains. Is a baloon ride ok for us? - or are we too grotchety?

Thomas J.  asked on  Dec 16, 2012

A:

Oh Thomas you are giving me a good laugh. Your ages are fine! And we understand about 'the growing' pains we all have. Here's something to think about, we ask all our guests safety related questions. 1. Are you able to stand for about an hour and half. 2. Are you able to walk at a leisurely pace 1 - 2 city blocks. 3. Other than the growing pains, , , is ther any hip, knee, back or ankle problems that would prevent you from taking any bounces, jars Or jolts that may feel like jumping from a chair. 4. Recent surgeries with in the past 6 months. 5. We will leave the pregnancy question out. 6. Do you think you would be able to climb in and out if the basket. Each basket does have foot holes for assistance. Now answering your self about the above, IF you feel you and your bride are able to meet the safety related questions, (now we know getting in and out of the basket is NOT graceful you only and to did it once and we don't have the cameras :-)) why not take the ride if you are both healthy, and both physically and monetarily capable. Please let us know if you do have additional questions or concerns. After flying 30 years we have seen a lot and done a lot. And WANT you to feel comfortable. Have a wonderful holiday season! Laurie and Brian, senior pilots

Q:

Is the price per person? How many people can go in one balloon?

Emily C.  asked on  Dec 15, 2012

A:

The price is per person. And as to how many passenger can go into one balloon varies. Just like the scheduled airline service there is a limit on the number that can fly. A lot of it depends on scheduling, weights and temperature of the day. (It's almost like the 'weight & balance' procedure the fixed wing pilots do during the pre-flight check.) We have different size balloons with different size baskets to accommodate everyone on board. We even have a basket with separate passenger compartments for additional safety & comfort. No matter if you are in a what we consider a small, medium or a large basket, you will have the same amount of room. And plus don't forget EVERYONE gets the 360 degree view! Have a wonderful holiday!! Please let us know if you would like additional information.

Q:

Can I buy I and an additional 3 as gifts and use them for my family of four to take a balloon ride together at the same time?

Carolyn B.  asked on  Dec 15, 2012

A:

Carolyn this is one of the most asked questions. YES you can! With us it works a little bit different. It is not a restaurant where one voucher can only be used per table. Groupon needs to make sure there is certain information in the promo ads. The four of you will be in the same basket for your balloon flight. The important thing to remember is one voucher per person is to be turned into us the day of your flight. Please let us know if you need additional information. Have a wonderful holiday!!!!!!! Laurie
