What is the purpose or use of the infrared body wrap. I notice several types online, but what is the specific purpose of the one you offer. Also, is there any benefit to having just one treatment?

Hello Colleen. This is a great question. Infrared heat has been used for mental, spiritual and physical benefits for hundreds of years. Interestingly, I have also read that NASA has used it for the benefits to the body as well. The biggest reason people look to use infrared heat is for the detoxification benefits. Its also great for the skin. A 1 hour session can kick out unwanted water from the body very well. The infrared body wrap is great for help with muscle aches and pains, for stimulating the circulation, it tells the white blood cells to get the troops ready, search and destroy and free radicals out of the body through the sweat. This means it helps stimulates the immune system by raising the core temperature of the body. There are many more benefits to be enjoyed by using infrared heat therapy. - My body wrap blanket covers the average client (depends on the height and weight of the client) from neck to toe and the entire body benefits. Many body wrap treatments don't use infrared heat and if you're like me and don't sweat much, the use of a blanket like this is invaluable. Sweat is the main toxin release system of the body. - A body can benefit from one session mainly by releasing unwanted water swelling, helps with sore muscles, helps with detox. Yes, more than one session is better, but one session definitely benefits the body. Feel free to email me directly at or ask questions here if you would like to know more. - Le Joy

Hello! I responded to your email. Sorry I missed it. I am sorry to admit that I'm very often working with massage and body wrap clients, and miss emails and voicemails for a few days. I am better with emails at this time because I can respond to them at odd times during the wee hours of the day. :-) Again, sorry for the delay of my response. - Le Joy
