The modem worked, but when talked to comcast they said it's outdated. So, it would be slow to download and low signal around the house. I went and bought a $200 dollar modem/router combo.

This was not a technology upgrade for us, but rather was matching the technology that we had been \"renting\" from Comcast for years. At a rental fee of $8/month, the math was easy. This modem delivers the same experience we have been getting and the pay back will be just over 3 months.... Easy decision for us!

The ad on Groupon said it was Highspeed cable internet modem, and it was sold as a no return. It was in fact old technology not new 3.0 Highspeed, so I have a $39. door stop.

Comcast has declared this to be an end of life product. A decent product, but do not buy it if you use Comcast, they will not support it.

Easy to set up. Biggest problem was spending 30 minutes on the phone with my Internet Service Provider to get the modem activated. Nothing to do with the modem. ISP was just very sloooow.
