Q:

Can I buy the Groupon and use it for my husband, or does the Groupon have to be in the same name as the prescription?

Michelle H.  asked on  Nov 1, 2013

A:

The Groupon can be used by anyone with the voucher code. That person should have a valid prescription for Air Optix Night and Day.

Q:

It looks as if you are saying that one can order any type of Air Optix (multifocal, etc.) then in another place you're saying that one can order only Night & Day. I don't know exactly what my boxes say at home, I just know they're Air Optix. Is this a refundable deal if I buy it now and it ends up being a type of lens that isn't covered here? Thank you.

MARY JO K.  asked on  Nov 1, 2013

A:

If you do not redeem, you can contact Groupon for a refund. The deal is only for Air Optix Night and Day lenses and you must have a prescription for these. We carry all the other types of Air Optix though, you can find them at www.postalcontacts.com.

Q:

What is the difference between regular Air Optix,...and the Night and Day version? Can they be interchangeable?

Joe S.  asked on  Oct 31, 2013

A:

The Air Optix Night and Day is FDA approved for up to 30 days and nights of continuous wear (you also need doctor's approval to wear it continuously). Contact lenses require brand specific prescriptions so you can only order the exact lens that you were prescribed.

Q:

I have an astigmatism, will these work for me?

Shauna B.  asked on  Oct 31, 2013

A:

Only the prescribed astigmatism lens that your eye care provider recommended will work for you... This lens is not intended for those with an astigmatism (unless its a very minor astigmatism).

Q:

Does this apply to astigmatism if I have it in one of my eyes?

Laura D.  asked on  Oct 31, 2013

A:

Hi there. Contact lenses require brand specific prescriptions, so you can only order the Air Optix Night and Day lens if you already wear this lens or if you have a prescription specifically for this lens. The Air Optix Night and Day isn't intended for astigmatisms.

Q:

I do not have a copy of my prescription, but I have boxes with the prescription on them. Is that adequate, or is a copy of the prescription needed?

Stephanie M.  asked on  Oct 30, 2013

A:

A copy of the prescription isn't required, however we have to verify the prescription by some means. Typically we do this by contacting your eye care provider.

Q:

I wear a different brand can I still use my prescription and try these?

dayna t.  asked on  Oct 29, 2013

A:

Contact lenses sold in the USA require brand specific prescriptions. Unfortunately you can only order the brand you're prescribed for unless you get approval from your eye care provider to substitute. We may have your brand at a discount...check www.postalcontacts.com. Thank you!

Q:

How recent does the my prescription have to be to use this groupon deal? If my contact prescription is more than a year old can I use that prescription to buy this groupon?

Bethany S.  asked on  Oct 29, 2013

A:

If your prescription does not specify an expiry date, it is one year from the date written except in FL, MD, MN, MS, NM, UT and WA where it would be valid for 2 years.
