This over-the-door organizer is made of a breathable nonwoven material, which lets air circulate so shoes refresh between wears. Two columns of 13 pockets present shoes with high degree of visibility and accessibility so you have an easier time deciding which pair to wear. The organizer hangs from three heavy-duty hangers, each formed to fit over most standard-size doors. I use it to store my bags and scarves rather than shoes. The only complaint is that the 3 metal things used to go over the door don't really stay in place on the shoe organizer. You have to move everything back every so often to avoid it slipped off.
Compartments are really small so most of my shoes are too big to fit. The top bar that goes over the door just slips in and hangs on the door - nothing more than gravity trying to hold it together. Was really hard to get on and even now gets knocked . Not as nice as I expected :/
I love the concept of 26 pockets to store things in, especially with the clear plastic to see whats inside and to keep off dust! However, the very top of the organizer tore before I put anything in the pockets! It's own little weight tore the plastic. So I taped it with lovely duck tape and it looks terrible and is tearing in other areas. bummer. Also, the metal over the door hooks are so thick that I cannot shut my closet door without scraping out the door jamb. Now I have to repair that. Wish they could improve the idea of making these and somehow having it hang from the inside of your closet wall!!??
The only negative is with the organizer over the door - when the door is open there is not quite enough distance between the door and the wall for the door to remain completely open. Shoe organizer keeps the door about 6 inches away from the wall.
The only thing that I find wrong is the brackets that go over the door does not hold up the rack and start to rip when shoes are put into it. Maybe if there were some kind of a metal, (or something hard), rod for the brackets to hold on that will hold up the the organizer without it ripping it would be better.
