Q:

When you write that "Acuvue recommends wearing each set of lenses for two weeks," do you mean two weeks continuously, leaving them in at night, or must they be taken out each night?

Jane O.  asked on  Oct 16, 2012

A:

The lenses must be taken out each night, unless you have approval from your doctor for overnight wear. The lenses are FDA approved for overnight wear up to 6 nights - but we would not recommend this.

Q:

I missed my opportunity to get one box of oasys and one box astigmatism. I thought I read in some of the discussion comments that you may be offering another promotion in several months? Will it be through groupon?

A:

It's possible, but we really don't know if another Groupon offer will happen. Please check us out at www.PostalContacts.com to see our current offers and specials. Use coupon code PC10 to get 10% off!

Q:

Hi My son uses the Acuvue 2 and his prescription is different in both eyes. Are these compariable?

Jean B.  asked on  Oct 15, 2012

A:

Contact lenses require brand specific prescriptions, so you'll have to order the Acuvue 2 or ask the doctor for approval of a different type of lens before ordering.

Q:

Hi I have a daughter with astigamatism and has been wanting to try contacts. Is there a certian age in which to start wearing contacts? and do you use the same script that you use for glasses?

Trinda W.  asked on  Oct 15, 2012

A:

Hi there. First you would schedule a "contact lens fitting" with your optometrist. It depends on the individual as well as the doctor, but between 13 and 6 years is a normal age to start this process. You cannot use an eyeglass prescription. During the contact lens fitting, the optometrist will measure the eye and give your daughter a trial pair of lenses to take home. After some follow up with the doctor, she will have a contact lens prescription which will be valid for 1 year.
