Q:

I'm interested in buying this but I've just read some not so positive reviews on Amazon about the buttons sparking and the cool setting breaking after a few months, can you respond to this? And what's the refund policy on this item? Thanks, Sara

Sara M.  asked on  May 13, 2013

A:

There are two switches for the Italy 3800: a heat switch and power switch. When you turn the switches to the on/off position, you can notice a slight spark. This is nothing more than the generation of electricity powering the dryer. The reason you can physically see it is because there is a very small gap opening where the switches are inserted. Therefore, you can see the spark. Any switch on any electrical appliance creates this spark and it's completely normal.
