This lasted a few months and worked well. the little dressing cups always leaked, but I just threw them in a Zip-lok bag. However I can no longer use it, since the top lid no longer stays on. I know the lids are not dishwasher safe and I washed them by hand. However I do not believe the actual containers are dishwasher safe since now the lid will not stay on. I put the lid on and it pops back off within 2-3 seconds... So I had to throw the main containers out.

The deal sounds great and that's why I bought it. Its good value for money. However the rectangular box is very inconvenient to use as it does not snap properly into each other and you have to rely heavily on the elastic band. Looks like a design flaw to me. Will not recommend it to anyone.

I've had my first two Bentgo sets for a few months now, absolutely love it. I am buying two more since it fits everything in the set perfectly (I will buy some more cups just for the spill-proof ability). After reading other reviews, let me offer you some suggestions. STRAP - For those of you that claim the Bentgo has to be double stacked for your strapped to work--you're strapping wrong. If you have both tiers on then yes, strap it as the pictures show. If you have one tier (collapsed version) on, use the strap the long way (WOW, crazy how that works, right?). LEAKAGE - Bentgo never said their containers were spillproof--except for the cup since it is supposed to beverages or soup, etc.. Notice nothing has a full seal? Because it isn't spillproof! Nowhere on Bentgo's site does it say it is, in fact, it says it ISNT. It will even say that dressings, etc. that go in the sauces should stay UPRIGHT to avoid spilling. The little sauces should go inside the trays, so if there is any spillage it is contained (yes, contrary to what it shows in the pictures). SEAL/Stacking - Yes, it is a bit of a pain to snap on, but it does snap on. I've been bad and running it through the dishwasher, but I can still get the top lid to close. If you cannot get the two sets to stack appropriately, you're doing it wrong, I don't know how else to say it. UTENSILS - Okay, I will admit, I had to Google a photo to put the utensils in place as I forgot after I took it apart to do my first wash. Everything should be face down, with the knife in the middle. If you try it any other way, the utensils absolutely will not fit in the utensil nubs. Other - They also sell these small ice packs in sets of 4 (not here on Groupon), but they work great to keep your food cold. I usually set one pack on top and one on bottom (though I'm sure 1 will suffice if your pack will be in an a/c'd office).

I bought FOUR sets, and they did not even last 3 months of the school year. First of all, just discard those teeny, tiny salad dressing containers. They leak EVERY time and don't hold anything. Secondly, the large, rectangular boxes do not snap closed. You have to place the tops on them, stack them, and then rely on the elastic band to hold everything closed. If you only have need for the bottom box, you must use the empty top box in order to make the elastic band fit and keep tops on. Who wants to rely on an elastic band? If you have children, do you really expect them to bring that band home every day?? The cup is leak proof; however, the closures on it eventually break from snapping on and off daily and the seal wreaks of whatever liquid you've poured in there-- so do NOT even THINK of putting milk in there! You can never get the odor out, no matter how hard you scrub. Lastly, I found that the foods did. It keep their temps as promised. In the end, after three months, we were left with remnants of four sets. Overpriced, heavily flawed lunch sets. I've since found better made sets at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Love. Love everything about it. I've had just the container for over a year, but picked up the whole kit a couple months ago. I Loved the container - easy to pack, holds plenty of food. I like that I don't have to heat my whole meal. Salad on the bottom, meat/side on top - perfect for me. I love that silverware are right there stuck into the box so I don't have to go hunting for a fork. Some of the reviewers complain about the box not "sticking together" on its own. It isn't meant to. The band is a necessary part of the design. Also, the lid and middle separater part (with the silverware) isn't designed to go in the dishwasher - only the container parts. Eventually that separater layer will warp in the dishwasher and the boxes won't "fit" together as well. I typically hand wash the whole box, but I've tossed it in the dishwasher plenty of times.

Not really all that excited by this lunch box. Kind of expensive, really, for what it is. The only container that I would consider "Leak Proof" would be the cup. The lids on the food containers and the little accessory containers do not close tight and easily come off. The utensils do not sit well on the lid of the larger container. All this is mitigated by the big band that holds it all in place, but all should be tight independent of the band (which I imagine will stretch out over time). At $19 it was a hard sell. At MSRP, there's no way I would be interested.

after hunting for months for just the right lunch boxes (and buying multiple others) for my kids I got these and finally we've got what works. not microwave them they will warp and not put them in the dishwasher just in case but they have been perfect for the kiddos lunches. Bento is not a hot food concept...if you are looking for something for hot foods then go buy will suit you better.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter for her birthday. When it came in the mail she opened it before I got home from work. When I got home she raved about how much she wanted one and for me to get her one, thinking it was for me and not her. Well she just loves it!
