Q:

Can the Escali Scale be used by persons with an implanted heart pacemaker? Some body composition scales recommend that persons with pacemakers should not use their product. Thanks!

Henry A.  asked on  Dec 31, 2012

A:

This would not be safe for those who have a pacemaker. The scale will send a small signal through your body. This method is used by all major scale manufacturers, and considerd 100% safe (unless you use a pacemaker or other electronic implant).

Q:

Does it work properly with other types of nonelectronic implants, such as a hip replacement? I had another brand that gave wildly false readings because of the metal in the implant.

Norma J.  asked on  Jan 1, 2013

A:

Hi Norma, It should work just fine. If for whatever reason you don't like the scale, you can return it.

maripaz  asked on  Jan 2, 2013

A:

Hi Maripaz, The scale comes with 2 quality lithium batteries, that you can replace later when needed. Depending on the frequency you use the scale, they should last at least a year or two. The scale comes with a Lifetime warranty, so for sure you don't need to be concerned. Thanks
