Q:

Are the bands non-scented?

Phylicia S.  asked on  May 1, 2013

A:

The bands are proven to work by releasing a (natural) scent of essential oils that camouflages your own body's odors from mosquitoes and flying, biting insects. Bug Bam is safer, easier and more pleasant to use than a spray or lotion containing DEET (which still uses a scent so as to mask the chemical smell).

Q:

So what activates the band to begin working? Are they separately packaged if I am just one person ? Once opened, Can you put it away so it stops working or it just expires after use automatically ?

Maggie W.  asked on  May 1, 2013

A:

The band is activated once exposed to the air. There are 2 x wristbands in each pack. Each pack is re-sealable with a 'zip lock', so once opened, it can be re-sealed for later use. Shelf life is 5-years unopened. Once opened, you can continue putting the wristbands in and out of the bag for up to 2-years for a total usable life of up to 100-hours per wristband.

Q:

Are these bracelets safe for toddlers who may be teething and put the bracelets in their mouths?

Rhonda P.  asked on  May 1, 2013

A:

All ingredients are non-toxic and food grade and safe for all ages. However it may not taste that great. Best suggestion for peace of mind is to place it nearby (e.g. attach to stroller, high chair or crib).

Q:

Will this work in Vietnam? I need this for my trip in July, 2013. If it'll not work then, can I return it?

Hang N.  asked on  May 1, 2013

A:

The business has had very positive feedback over the years from customers traveling to Vietnam and Cambodia but, as with any repellent, we cannot guarantee efficacy as it is dependent upon many factors including: following the instructions, storage and handling, climate, and one's personal body chemistry/appeal to insects.
