I purchased this product for its versatility, which included FM reception. The FM reception is non-existent, i.e., only static received and I live in Victoria, BC, not in a rural outpost. Although, if I connected a USB wire and left it dangling I could pick up some far away talk show conversations, but I don't think this is a design feature.
I will be returning the product.
