Unwilling to give up their stylish shoes, the women came up with an innovative design: a pair of comfortable flats folded up to stow away in a purse or briefcase. Women could slip off their heels and into the flats, enjoying a rush of comfort matched only by leaping into a pile of panda bears. Launched in their senior year of college, the students’ design took off, grabbing headlines in New York Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and Forbes.
