- Watering: angel vine prefers to dry out slightly before being watered. Check the soil just under the surface often to determine when to water. Carefully pour water on the surface of the soil until some drains out the bottom. Do not allow the vine topiary to stand in water.
- Light: angel vine requires bright light when placed indoors. Placing directly in a west- or south-facing window that receives full afternoon sun may be too much light and heat for the plant and will require very frequent watering. Filtered light from these windows is perfect, however, as is placement in a north or east facing window. Placing your plant in a protected outdoor porch or patio is very beneficial as long as no direct afternoon sun is received. Move the angel vine topiary indoors if the temperature falls below 40°F.
- Fertilizer: fertilize monthly while the plant is actively growing following the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not fertilize a stressed plant as this will further stress the plant’s roots.
- Repotting/trimming: once the angel vine topiary has outgrown its pot, or if it dries out too quickly to easily maintain, may be repotted into a slightly larger pot with care not to over- or under-water the plant to help promote the formation of new roots. Trim off undesired stems or twine onto the wire frame as desired.
- Recommended US region for planting: zones 2–10
