I'm a huge fan of Elizabeth Arden's 5th Avenue, so I was keen to try this fragrance. This was a blind purchase, so I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised, and unfortunately, I will, without a doubt, give this fragrance away, because it just isn't what I was expecting. I had to look at other sites to see reviews of the product before I bought it, since there were none here. I'm glad that a majority of clients like/love this product, so please read their reviews as well.
Out of all the notes in this fragrance, what drew me to it was the orchid, amber, and peach. One or two of the other notes in combination with everything else just don't work for me.
PROS: 1) the packaging is pretty.
2) this fragrance does have a fresh scent, but only after it dies down a little.
CONS: 1) this fragrance is actually strong, when you first spritz it on, so I do not recommend being too liberal with it. That being said,
2) it actually does not have staying power. If you spray this in the morning, there's a good chance you'll need to spray it on again before the end of the day, as the smell seemed to fade after a short time. I honestly couldn't smell it after 2 hours, but sometimes we get used to whatever we are wearing quickly.
3) I suffer from allergies, but own many fragrances, all of which do not make me sneeze or have slamming headaches. This one was already tickling my nose, and had I used more than just a little, I know I'd have ended up with a headache.
This will certainly not be a repurchase for me and I'll likely not buy any other Arden fragrances without smelling them first.
