Does the trick. Spans a larger space than most baby gates and attaches to the wall so my little ones cannot push it down. The attaching points are moveable so that you can place one a little higher/lower if your wall is a little weird. No horizontal bars for my daughter to try and climb. The actual latch is a little counterintuitive, however, I guess that reduces the likelihood of your child unlatching it. My little twins hate it, so it is doing it's job!

This gate is a little longer than the wide door opening. But the wall attachment turn so I could attach gate to wall instead of inside door opening. I couldn't find a gate the exact measurements I needed so this walkthrough gate worked out

The gate is a must have if needed. I love it. The door is a great touch to it. Definitely keeps my daughter safe. It can also be used as a doggie gate. It prevents my dog from running all the way Inside the house.
